Paralegal - Personal Injury & Civil Litigation

Location: Escondido, CA
Position Type: Direct Hire preferred (Temp-to-Hire considered)

A full-service law firm in Escondido is seeking a skilled Paralegal to support its highest-producing associate, primarily in plaintiff-side personal injury matters. The firm also handles a wide variety of civil litigation, including employment, real estate, and business disputes-offering the right candidate exposure to diverse and challenging work.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable supporting both pre-litigation and litigation phases. Mid- to senior-level candidates are ideal, but the team is open to trainable individuals with the right foundation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake and pre-intake evaluations
  • Manage, organize, and maintain case documents
  • Communicate with insurance carriers and external stakeholders
  • Gather medical records and supporting documentation
  • Draft initial demand letters and related pre-litigation materials
  • Support litigation processes as needed

Qualifications

  • Mid- to senior-level paralegal experience preferred
  • Experience in personal injury strongly valued
  • Candidates with solid foundational skills and willingness to learn will be considered (Temp-to-Hire possible)
  • Must be comfortable supporting both pre-litigation and litigation workflows

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually (DOE)
  • Schedule: Primarily onsite due to team collaboration needs; flexibility available for exceptional candidates
  • Benefits:
